this is a common problem with the patch - all antivirus software recognize it as a virus, because the very nature of the patch, it allows you to activate more half open connections than you currently have - a normal virus would do the same in order to make it easier for it to spread to the internet and thus to other computers :-)

one thing you could do, is ignore the antivirus warning for the patch - it is what i do everytime i run a full system scan :-)

Hi, I tried your settings and I have to say they work pretty good. I am under a 5 meg down and 800k up connection, my speed tests say I have an average of 3.43mbps down and 600kbps up. (When I download or upload an actual file my speeds are higher, 4meg+ and 75-80KBps upload ALWAYS)

After putting in those tweaks in BitComet (and sometimes before too when I reach around 80kBps) I have noticed that it destroys my connection, I can't surf any sites on any of my browsers.

I am running on a Windows 98/2000 dual boot computer with 192MB RAM as I said a 5 meg and 800kbps connection and I have 4 browsers (IE 6 SP1, Firefox 2, Netscape 4.1 and SeaMonkey 1.6) which none of them can browse when bitcomet is downloading, so if anyone had the same problem and fixed it please help me and also I am asking your help to jumanjisama.

Thanks for everyone who responds

did you have a p2p program running in the background? If so then that could have been the cause, check task manager to see what process is eating up the cpu.
