Nowadays portable storage drives such as USB Drive and Portable/External Harddisk are getting more and more popular as people would like their data to be mobile and easily accessible from any computers. Since that is the scenario, portable applications are also increasingly looked for in the internet. So i have decided to list some of the portable applications that i have found, mostly from websites that i visit. All the applications are listed in categories and the list will be updated as frequently as possible.

Web Browser

Firefox - For Windows Users

This is a totally cool web browser, it is more secure and full of functions. Tab browsing, blocks pop-ups, fully W3C compliant and fully customizable just to name a few of its features. Click the download link below to get your own portable Firefox.

Opera - For Windows Users

This is another variety of web browser that rivals the normal Internet
Explorer. It has vast functions at it's disposal such as built-in mail

Camino - For Mac Users

This is another product from Mozilla, it shares similar features with its twin, Firefox, such as Tab Browsing, Secure , and Pop-ups Blocker. Please click the link below to go to the download page.

Email Client

Thunderbird - For Windows And Mac Users

This is a cool and nice substitute to the more known Windows Outlook Express. Personally, i find Thunderbird is more user friendly and not to mentioned that it is customizable. You can view all your E-mails from multiple email accounts at once (given that you have set them into Thunderbird) and it also has a build in RSS reader. Now that it is portable, you can check your email using Thunderbird from any computer.

BitTorrent Client

uTorrent - For Windows User

A compact BitTorrent client is what uTorrent is, despite it's small size,just under 200KB, it has a number of features under it's belt that can even surpass some BitTorrent client which are bigger in size. Just like MPC, this torrent requires no installation, so it is portable in nature. You just need to activate it and it is set to go.
