Firefox is getting more and more popular by day, but it's popularity brings with it bad omens. As more and more people are changing from Internet Explorer to
Firefox, so are the malicious people. Many of them have changed their attention to
Firefox by taking advantage of
Firefox security holes.
Recently Mozilla has released a patch to all
Firefox users to make it more safer. Quoting from
SearchSecurity.com:
Mozilla released Firefox 1.5.0.7 to address flaws that could expose systems to man-in-the-middle, spoofing and cross-site scripting attacks.
A security website,
Secunia.com has released a security report on the multiple vulnerabilities of our dearly
Firefox, rating the problem as 'Highly Critical'. The website, lists all 7 of the reported security holes.
If you are using
Firefox, you should have already been updated, as the update was sent to all
Firefox browser. You can check your current
Firefox version by going to Help > About Mozilla
Firefox, it should provide you with the version of your
Firefox. If for some peculiar reason that you are not using
Firefox Version 1.5.07, you should head on to the
Firefox webpage and download the latest update immediately, though this scenario is most probably rare or nonexistent.
