Microsoft's Maps and Virtual Earth

Microsoft is taking a number of steps to improve the popularity of it's search engine. First, they introduced Windows Live, a new search homepage which apparently looks, or at least has some similarity in feature with Google. There are more improvements made, but the most significant, in my opinion, is the introduction of Windows Live Maps and Virtual Earth.

Friday, November 17. 2006, 08:03 AM No, this is not the current stable version, but it is the latest official release though. I am not sure if the BitComet development team has just hired some new guy, but they are making quite a number of releases in a short period of time with some cool features added or re-added. If they continue going at this pace, i am pretty sure more people will shift to it from other bittorent client :) or i hope

Thursday, November 16. 2006, 06:41 AM Well, in my previous article, i have written about IZArc, a multifunction archiver (you use it to compress or decompress files). At that time, IZArc was still in it's beta version, but recently, about 2 weeks ago, the developers of IZArc has released their newest build and it ain't beta anymore. I find it really cool that there is finally a stable version of IZArc because i am not much a fan of beta versions :)

Did you know that there exists softwares that you could use to spy on people who are using Instant Messengers (IM)? Spy in this context means that you could read all of their conversation. OK, now that you know, don't start to be excited yet because this article ain't gonna disclose to you on how to do just that, but instead, how to avoid from your private messages to be misused. One way of doing that is to encrypt all out going messages, so that even if they are intercepted, it would be totally useless :)

Hailing to all Firefox 1.5.0.X users, please update your Firefox to the latest build, Firefox 2. Though there was a recent update to Firefox 1.5.0.8, but Mozilla has posted in it's website that it would halt updates for this version in April 2007.
